It is a 120 mesh, white firing clay suitable for most production techniques, including throwing, pressing, jigger jollying and handbuilding. It offers excellent glaze fit at earthenware temperatures. WHC An outstanding vivid white, 30 mesh, handbuilding clay. It offers excellent glaze fit at earthenware temperatures and an extremely wide firing range. Ideal for throwing, hand- building, sculpting or slab work. One of the most versatile clays available. KHC A coloured companion to WHC, it is 30 mesh with a very attractive soft terra cotta colour when fired at earthenware temperatures. It offers excellent glaze fit at earthenware temperatures and an extremely wide firing range. KHC is ideally suited for throwing, handbuilding, sculpting or slab work. WTB A fine white earthenware body specifically developed for tile production. It dries and fires flat and exhibits little shrinkage. WTB offers excellent glaze fit at earthenware temperatures. CTC A fine, 60 mesh, rich red terra cotta clay. It has been filter pressed for high quality and consistent performance. Excellent glaze fit at earthenware temperatures. MTC A fine, 60 mesh, red terra cotta clay, developed to be more user friendly than traditional terra cotta clays. It offers good glaze fit and excellent workability. SCHOOL WHITE An excellent and easy to work, white to buff clay, with a broad firing range Orton cone 03 to 5. It is compatible with a wide range of commercial earthenware glazes. As a 60 mesh body it has good balance, i.e. adequate tooth for handbuilding but not too coarse on the hands when throwing.SCHOOL RED A terra cotta version of School White. MID-FIREDMFQ MID-FIRED QUARTZ is a fine,120 mesh, white mid-firing clay. It is an excellent clay for throwing, pressing, jigger jollying, and so on. MFQ offers stoneware performance when fired in the range of Orton cones 1 to 5. Excellent glaze fit and underglaze intensity. SWE A versatile cream to buff, 120 mesh, earthenware/stoneware clay. It is very tolerant to firing conditions. Glaze fit at 1200ºC. It offers fine texture and good plasticity. Great for fine detail and excellent plasticity. STONEWARELGH A robust, 60 mesh stoneware clay. Excellent for throwing and handbuilding. Easy to throw, great for beginners through to the most experienced throwers. Also an excellent Raku and Pit Fired body.RGH LGH with the addition of a small amount of iron oxide, giving it a warm brown colour. YG An exceptional, 45 mesh, strong throwing clay with a little extra tooth. It fires to a warm coffee colour and can be used as slip. CTS A toasted light brown, 30 mesh clay. Its extra tooth and pleasant tonings make it ideal for throwing bigger pots. CTS enhances the colour of shino glazes, used by Paul Davis. JB3 A fine, 120 mesh, white/grey stoneware clay, specially formulated for the production potter. JB3 has excellent working properties, is very plastic and fires to a high quality grey/white finish. SCULPTURALSF SCULPTURAL FINE, a 30 mesh body specifically designed for handbuilding. It offers a broad firing range and fires to a beautiful sandstone colour. A wonderful RAKU body. A strong, robust body that stands up well when thrown. SC SCULPTURAL COARSE, a 16 mesh version of SCULPTURAL FINE. Excellent for handbuilding of large forms. Great in wood firings. SW SCULPTURAL WARM, a version of Sculptural Fine with an addition of terra cotta to give it a wonderful warm colour. Superb plastic qualities. PORCELAIN STONEWARESWS An excellent, white, 80 mesh porcelain stoneware body with extra tooth that makes it ideal for throwing and handbuilding. TMK A fine white, 120 mesh body with very high plasticity. An excellent throwing clay, good for functional ware. PORCELAINJB1 A white firing, 120 mesh, porcelain. JB1 possesses excellent plasticity and green strength, making it suitable for large objects, as well as, the most delicate pieces. JB1 can be fired as low as 1200ºC but develops better strength at 1260ºC to 1300ºC. WSP An excellent white, 120 mesh, porcelain style clay that offers a broad firing range. An extremely versatile body suitable for throwing, jigger jollying and pressing. The ideal body for high quality table ware. LBSI LES BLAKEBROUGH’S SOUTHERN ICE is a truly magnificent, translucent, white porcelain. While it is one of the best porcelains available it is also surprisingly easy to work. For best whiteness and translucency fire in reduction. SOUTHERN ICE has received international recognition as one the worlds best porcelain bodies and is now sold in Europe, UK, USA, NZ, Switzerland, France and Singapore. WOOD FIRINGRSF OWEN RYE’S WOOD AND SALT FIRING BODY Owen Rye the developer of RSF is an internationally recognised wood firer. RSF is a highly grogged 16 mesh clay that gives brilliant flashes of colour in wood firings. Also throws well and is excellent for handbuilding large pieces. NOTE: RSF has been reformulated to improve its plasticity and colour flashing.
