"Southern Ice is a pleasure to throw with. It is very responsive to the touch, flexible during the forming process, while retaining it's firmness. So smooth and clean it allows carving and trimming with precision. The Crystalline glazes I use are very dependent on the interaction of the porcelain and glaze for satisfactory effects. Southern Ice lets the crystals grow much more freely and larger than with any other porcelain I have used. It gives a pure white ground, allowingthe glaze surface to be very bright with a truer color response. I am totally spoiled now that I use Southern Ice".
